Electronic Design Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an Electronic Design Engineer with 2‑4 years of experience to design and develop electronic hardware and embedded systems for commercial products. The role involves working across the full product lifecycle, from concept through testing and deployment, within a multidisciplinary engineering team in Johannesburg.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop electronic hardware and embedded systems for commercial products.
• Participate in new product development from concept to implementation.
• Develop firmware and software for embedded devices using C or C#.
• Design, test, and validate electronic circuits and hardware systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and firmware issues.
• Perform product testing, verification, and performance analysis.
• Support system integration and product deployment activities.
• Prepare technical documentation, specifications, and engineering reports.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years of experience in electronic design engineering and embedded systems.
• BEng, BSc or BTech in Electronic, Mechatronic, Electrical & Electronic Engineering.
• Only South African residents or holders of a valid South African work permit.
