Electro-Mechanical Technician

About the role

Join Baker Hughes' Drilling Services team as an Electro-Mechanical Technician. You will work on a variety of technical products, troubleshooting, testing, assembling and inspecting mechanical assemblies while supporting equipment reliability and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Review procedures for assembly, disassembly and test verification.
• Configure test stations and systems, and perform environmental test data analysis.
• Assist in setting up experiments and recording data in collaboration with Engineering and Reliability groups.
• Test, evaluate and, when required, repair general‑purpose test equipment.
• Provide leadership and coaching to fellow technicians in areas of proven competence.
• Work in compliance with Health, Safety & Environment (HS&E) policies.

Required profile

• 3‑year technical diploma or associate degree (or higher) in electrical/mechanical engineering.
• 2–7 years of experience in electro‑mechanical functions.
• Strong knowledge of electronics maintenance.
• Proficient written and oral English communication.

Required skills

• Soldering and electro‑mechanical device assembly.
• Reading and interpreting blueprints, wiring diagrams, assembly prints and parts lists.
• Use of measurement and gauging equipment.
• Operation of multimeters, megohmmeters and hi‑pot testers.
• Configuration of test stations and systems.
