Electrician – Agricultural/Farm Operations

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Electrician to support the maintenance, repair and installation of electrical systems across our farm operations in the Port Elizabeth area. The role ensures safe, reliable power for all agricultural equipment, minimizing downtime and supporting productive farming activities.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine electrical maintenance, repairs and fault‑finding on three‑phase and single‑phase systems.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns and call‑outs, ensuring rapid restoration of service.
• Maintain and service electrical motors, pumps, control panels and distribution boards.
• Service electrical components of boreholes and irrigation equipment.
• Carry out preventative and scheduled maintenance programmes.
• Execute electrical installations and upgrades as required.
• Ensure all work complies with relevant safety standards and regulations.
• Maintain tools, equipment and basic maintenance records.

Required profile

• Qualified Electrician with a recognised Trade Test or Red Seal certification.
• Minimum five years of electrical maintenance experience, preferably in agricultural or industrial settings.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to work overtime and attend call‑outs.
• Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently, reliably and under pressure.
