Operations Manager – Table Grapes

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our table grape farm located near Pofadder, Northern Cape, South Africa. The role combines technical farm management, team leadership and business administration to ensure high‑quality grapes for international markets.

Key responsibilities

• Take full ownership of daily farm operations, including pruning, thinning, production management and harvesting.
• Oversee automated irrigation, soil fertilisation and chemical spraying to meet GlobalG.A.P. and MRL standards.
• Manage large teams of permanent and seasonal staff, handling labour relations, payroll and salary administration.
• Control the packhouse, cold‑rooms and ensure cold‑chain integrity from vineyard to export containers.
• Hold financial accountability for operational budgets, cost‑chain management and harvest logistics.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of hands‑on experience in table grape production.
• Strong knowledge of modern production practices, systems and management processes.
• Proven leadership, communication and human‑relations abilities.
• Experience in budget control and salary administration.
• Good administrative and computer skills.
