Electrical Engineer in Training

About the role

SENET is seeking recent graduates to join its 2027 Graduate Development Program as Electrical Engineers in Training. This two‑year programme offers hands‑on experience across mining and minerals processing projects throughout Africa, preparing you for a future engineering leadership role.

Key responsibilities

• Support project engineering activities, including design calculations, specifications, and multidisciplinary execution.
• Assist with site and commissioning tasks such as construction support, equipment installation, testing, and operational readiness.
• Develop business acumen through exposure to project management, procurement, cost control, and client engagement.
• Participate in personal development initiatives to build communication, leadership, teamwork, and problem‑solving competencies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control & Instrumentation, Electronic Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering or a related field.
• Strong academic record with a passion for continuous learning.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills in multidisciplinary environments.
• Enthusiasm for innovative engineering in the mining sector.
• Willingness to learn engineering standards, design tools, documentation control, and project delivery processes.
• South African citizenship by birth.
