About the role
The Earthmoving Mechanic is responsible for inspecting, servicing, repairing and maintaining earthmoving equipment within a workshop setting. The role supports both internal and external customers, ensuring machinery operates safely and efficiently in the mining environment.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain and service earthmoving equipment.
- Perform daily inspections, fault finding and report findings to the workshop manager.
- Respond to breakdowns promptly as needed.
- Maintain strong internal and external customer relations.
- Test‑drive machines to verify smooth operation.
Required profile
- Effective verbal, written and electronic communication skills.
- Strong leadership abilities.
- Planning and problem‑solving capabilities.
- Customer/client focus.
- Valid driver’s licence and medical fitness records.
Required skills
- Knowledge of the Mine Health and Safety Act (MHSA).
- Computer literacy.
