Duty Station Manager

About the role

The Duty Station Manager leads daily operations for Air France‑KLM at Cape Town International Airport. Reporting to the Deputy Station Manager and Station Manager, the role ensures safe, secure, and efficient aircraft turn‑around while delivering top‑class customer service across all airport functions.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee passenger handling, ramp handling, catering, ticketing, reservations, security, quality control and baggage processes.
• Maintain aviation safety and security standards during each shift.
• Coordinate with Station Management, Regional Station Manager, Country Manager and other stakeholders.
• Act as deputy for the Station Manager when required.
• Drive continuous improvement in flight safety, punctuality, customer satisfaction and environmental performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Business Administration or related field (preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in airport regulations and operations.
• Proven team‑leadership and stakeholder‑engagement experience in an airport environment.
• Physically fit and hold a valid driver’s licence for airside driving.
• Fluency in English; French and Dutch are an advantage.

• In‑depth knowledge of airport operations (passenger handling, ramp handling, catering, ticketing, reservations, security, quality, baggage).
• Team management and training capabilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
