About the role

The Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality is seeking two qualified Driving License Examiners for its coastal region. The role involves assessing applicants for learner and driving licences, municipal driver competency, and instructor certifications in line with the National Road Traffic Act.

Key responsibilities

Evaluate applicants for learner and driving licence tests as required by the National Road Traffic Act.
Assess the competency of municipal drivers to operate municipal vehicles.
Conduct theory and practical assessments for instructor certificates.
Perform eye examinations using prescribed VIP equipment to ensure compliance with legislation.

Required profile

Matric (Grade 12) qualification.
Diploma – Examiner of Driver’s Licence (Grade A).
Registered with the Department of Transport as an examiner.
Clean criminal record.
Valid Code A and EC driver’s licence.
Minimum two years relevant experience in driver licensing or related field.
