Driver – Pickups, Deliveries & Vehicle Maintenance

About the role

The Driver is responsible for executing pickups and deliveries of products and goods according to a daily schedule, while ensuring the vehicle remains road‑worthy and all cargo is secured safely.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections and complete trip sheets.
• Plan and follow optimized routes to meet delivery schedules and avoid delays.
• Load, secure and unload cargo, adhering to safety and load‑securing procedures.
• Refuel, monitor vehicle licensing, and report maintenance needs, including tyre, oil, and service requirements.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and ensure the vehicle is locked and parked securely when not in use.
• Collaborate with the Reception team and support other departments with transport tasks.
• Identify hazards, follow ISO 14001 environmental requirements, and comply with OHS Act and ISO 45001 safety standards.
• Provide first‑aid assistance for minor injuries and ensure the first‑aid kit is inspected monthly.

Required profile

• Basic understanding of vehicle mechanics and ability to recognise unusual noises or leaks.
• Commitment to road regulations, company driving standards and zero tolerance for mobile phone use while driving.
• Ability to work independently, follow detailed logs and reports, and maintain high standards of vehicle care.
• Alignment with company ethics, performance culture and food safety management systems.
