Distribution Business Development Manager

About the role

Based in Cape Town or Durban, this role focuses on channel sales and distribution for a SaaS and cloud technology business. The Business Development Manager will independently grow the MSP partner network through established distribution channels, without a regional team.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit and onboard new MSP partners and activate dormant or development‑stage accounts.
• Build distributor‑led pipelines, manage forecasting and conversion KPIs, and drive recurring revenue growth.
• Support partners during early‑stage sales opportunities and provide enablement resources.
• Gather market and competitor intelligence to inform strategy.

Required profile

• Matric qualification; tertiary qualification advantageous.
• Solid experience in channel sales, business development or IT distribution, preferably within IT distributors and MSP ecosystems.
• Strong understanding of SaaS and recurring revenue models.
• Experience in cloud backup, disaster recovery or cybersecurity.
• Proven ability to recruit, prospect and develop partner accounts.
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable transport.
