Dispatch Supervisor

About the role

The Dispatch Supervisor will oversee daily order control, loading, receiving, and stock rotation within a fast‑moving consumer goods (FMCG) environment. You will ensure that dispatch operations run smoothly, stock is accurately accounted for, and safety and quality standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Manage month‑end stock counts and daily stock reconciliation for each shift.
• Receive products from production and inter‑company transfers, ensuring cages are secured.
• Verify load documents, seals, and bulk picking slips before dispatch.
• Account for all stock dispatched and reconcile shift‑level stock records.
• Maintain tidy dispatch storage areas and enforce housekeeping procedures.
• Load delivery vehicles according to schedule and ensure timely departures.
• Monitor staff PPE usage, attendance, and conduct depot claims.
• Perform pre‑loading truck inspections to meet food‑safety requirements.
• Generate daily and weekly reports for the Dispatch Manager.

Required profile

• Grade 12 (Matric) qualification.
• Minimum 2 years supervisory experience in a similar FMCG role.
• Strong leadership, planning, problem‑solving, and attention‑to‑detail abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficient computer skills for stock management and reporting.
