The successful incumbent will lead Electrical Operations, Maintenance and Construction; Electrical Design and Planning; Information Management; Strategic Management; Financial Management and Human Resource Management for Swartland Municipality.

Required profile

• Post‑Graduate Degree in Electrical Engineering (NQF 8) or equivalent
• Minimum seven years relevant experience, including at least two years in senior management
• Eligibility for registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa as a Professional Engineer (Electrical) within 18 months
• Government Certificate of Competency as required by the General Machinery Regulations
• South African citizenship and a valid Code B driver’s licence
• Excellent communication skills in at least two official languages of the Western Cape
