Director – Forensics

About the role

SNG Grant Thornton is looking for an experienced Director of Forensics to provide strategic and commercial leadership for its Forensics service line. The role will drive profitable growth, ensure high‑quality delivery, and position the firm as a market leader in technology‑enabled forensic solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Drive revenue and engagement profitability for the Forensics service line.
• Develop and execute the Forensics strategy aligned with the firm’s Vision 2030.
• Lead complex, high‑value forensic engagements, ensuring quality, risk management and client satisfaction.
• Build trusted client relationships and generate new business opportunities.
• Identify and develop new products, services and technology‑enabled solutions.
• Promote the use of emerging forensic technologies such as data analytics, eDiscovery, digital forensics and cyber forensics.
• Coach and develop high‑performing teams, contributing to talent pipelines.
• Monitor financial performance against budgets and take corrective actions as needed.
• Maintain strong governance, quality standards and professional ethics across the portfolio.
• Represent the firm with clients, professional bodies and industry forums.

Required profile

• Relevant postgraduate qualification and CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner) certification.
• Additional certifications such as CIA, CISA or CA(SA) are advantageous.
• Minimum 7 years of senior‑level experience (Director, Executive or equivalent) in Forensics, Fraud Risk, Digital Forensics or related disciplines.
• Proven track record leading complex forensic investigations and delivering profitable outcomes.
