About the role
We are seeking an experienced Direct Travel Specialist to join a leading luxury travel company focused on African safaris. You will design and deliver bespoke itineraries across Southern and East Africa, ensuring every guest enjoys a seamless, unforgettable journey.
Key responsibilities
- Design and plan tailor‑made safari itineraries for FIT (Fully Independent Travel) guests.
- Manage reservations from initial enquiry through to final travel documentation.
- Provide exceptional customer service and expert destination advice to direct guests.
- Collaborate with a dynamic reservations team to maintain high service standards.
- Continuously build and update knowledge of Southern and East African destinations.
Required profile
- Minimum 5 years of reservations experience within a tour‑operating environment.
- Strong knowledge of Southern and East African destinations.
- Proven ability to create FIT itineraries from quotation to documentation.
- Excellent communication and customer‑service skills.
- Highly organised, detail‑oriented, and able to thrive in a fast‑paced setting.
Required skills
- Tourplan (experience with the Tourplan reservation system).
