DevOps Engineer (DevSecOps) – 3‑Month Contract

About the role

Our client in the telecom sector is seeking a DevOps Engineer with a strong focus on DevSecOps to support the Crypto Mini App initiative. This is a three‑month contract role based in Johannesburg, responsible for building and maintaining secure, reliable delivery pipelines across development, testing and production environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and manage enterprise CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD or Jenkins.
• Develop and maintain containerised workloads with Docker and orchestrate them on Kubernetes/OpenShift.
• Apply Infrastructure as Code practices with Terraform and Ansible to provision cloud‑native and micro‑services environments.
• Integrate security and compliance controls throughout the pipeline, including static analysis with SonarQube and artifact management with Nexus/Artifactory.
• Set up monitoring, logging and alerting using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack and Kafka.
• Provide operational support and troubleshooting for deployments in development, test and production.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on DevOps or DevSecOps experience.
• Proven experience building enterprise‑grade CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong Linux administration skills.
• Experience with containerisation, Kubernetes/OpenShift administration and cloud‑native micro‑services architectures.
• Demonstrated ability to implement security, compliance and monitoring solutions.
