Development Manager

About the role

TIH is seeking a Development Manager to lead its IT systems development function. The role involves prioritising development tasks, allocating resources efficiently, and driving innovation to meet the business’s technology needs.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain an application software roadmap aligned with business priorities.
• Analyse complex information sources to develop innovative solutions.
• Engage with business and IT stakeholders, managing expectations and communication plans.
• Lead and motivate a team of system developers, communicating strategy and performance goals.
• Develop tactical plans for resource optimisation and oversee project delivery using appropriate methodologies.
• Collect and analyse data to identify trends, produce insights, and generate actionable reports.
• Assess departmental capabilities, identify skill gaps, and implement development frameworks.
• Coach and mentor staff to build organisational talent.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing software development teams and delivering IT projects.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex data into business insights.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills at all organisational levels.
• Leadership capability to set performance objectives and drive results.
