Deputy Manager – HR

About the role

WNS is seeking a Deputy Manager – HR to lead core people functions across recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, talent management and retention. The role partners closely with operations and internal HR services to drive a high‑performance culture and support business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with hiring managers and recruitment teams to secure quality hires for bulk and leadership positions.
• Manage employee induction, onboarding and resolve new‑hire queries promptly.
• Oversee employee engagement initiatives and maintain a positive morale environment.
• Coordinate performance appraisals, probation tracking and calibration on quarterly cycles.
• Implement retention strategies, conduct exit interviews and analyze turnover trends.
• Develop and maintain partnerships with internal stakeholders such as HR Shared Services, Compensation & Benefits, Learning & Development, etc.
• Compile, maintain and analyse HR analytics to inform decision‑making.
• Support HR administration, industrial relations documentation and operational HR projects.

Required profile

• Proven experience in an HR Generalist role, preferably within contact‑centre or BPO environments.
• Strong understanding of recruitment, onboarding, performance management and retention processes.
• Ability to work collaboratively with operations and cross‑functional teams.
• Minimum education: Matriculation (or equivalent).
