About the role
The Depot Controller oversees the movement of assets, maintenance, security and safety within the depot for Water and Sanitation operations. The role ensures efficient store operations, supervises staff, and coordinates vehicle and vacuum‑tanker services.
Key responsibilities
- Controls the movement of assets in and out of the depot.
- Manages building, depot maintenance and cleaning.
- Oversees site security and fire‑safety systems.
- Monitors and manages stores operations and sub‑ordinate staff.
- Controls small plant vehicle activities within the depot.
- Maintains administrative control of the depot.
- Controls the provision of vacuum‑tanker services.
- Assists with clerical and stores functions.
- Undertakes related assignments.
Required profile
- Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) or equivalent with an Administrative certificate.
- Valid motor vehicle driving licence.
- At least 3 years relevant experience, including 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Computer literacy.
- Diploma (NQF Level 6) or equivalent in the Administrative field (preferred).
- 4 years relevant experience (preferred).
