Defended Foreclosure Secretary – Pretoria

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Defended Foreclosure Secretary to support a Pretoria East law firm’s foreclosure department. The role involves handling defended foreclosure matters, liaising with clients and courts, and ensuring accurate documentation throughout the litigation process.

Key responsibilities

• Draft and process motions, pleadings, notices, sheriff’s letters and other litigation documents under attorney supervision.
• Maintain and organise case files, ensuring all documentation is current and readily accessible.
• Coordinate with attorneys, clients, counterparts and defendants to guarantee timely filings and court appearances.
• Perform general administrative duties specific to a defended foreclosure department.
• Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders, providing updates and feedback as required.

Required profile

• 3–5 years’ experience as a Litigation Secretary handling defended foreclosure matters.
• Experience with defended foreclosure cases, preferably involving Standard Bank.
• Strong dictation and typing skills.
• Ability to work under attorney supervision and manage multiple deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in My Attorneys system.
• Knowledge of CACS (bank‑related system).
• Experience using GhostPractice.
• Familiarity with Caselines.
