Dealer Principal – Randburg

About the role

The Dealer Principal will lead the overall strategic, operational and financial management of a multi‑site automotive dealership in Randburg. This senior position is responsible for driving profitability, compliance and customer satisfaction across sales, service, parts and administration.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and direction to all dealership departments, fostering a high‑performance culture.
• Oversee daily operations across three sites, ensuring coordination, compliance with manufacturer standards and legal requirements.
• Manage financial performance, including revenue, expenses, budgeting and forecasting.
• Develop and execute sales and marketing strategies to increase market share and customer retention.
• Maintain exceptional customer service levels and resolve escalated issues.
• Ensure compliance with OEM, MIBCO, financial and HR legislation, and oversee internal audits.
• Report operational and financial results to regional executives and attend OEM meetings.

Required profile

• Matriculation (essential) and preferably a tertiary qualification in Business Management or related field.
• 8–10 years of experience in the motor industry, with at least 5 years in senior management.
• Proven track record as a Dealer Principal, General Manager, Branch Manager or New Vehicle Sales Manager.
• Strong understanding of dealership operations including sales, service, parts, F&I and administration.
• Valid South African driver’s licence and a clear criminal/credit record.
