DC Manager – Roodepoort

About the role

Our client, a leading manufacturing company in Johannesburg, is looking for a proactive DC Manager to oversee the Roodepoort distribution centre. You will be responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant operations while driving performance against key targets.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a safe work environment, monitor safety statistics and liaise with the EHS department.
• Plan weekly production and distribution, ensuring optimal utilisation of plant resources.
• Manage service level agreements with suppliers and enforce strict compliance.
• Drive production standards such as OEE, OTIF and ISO 9001 quality requirements.
• Oversee equipment availability, downtime, and planned maintenance.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives using ELS tools.

Required profile

• Grade 12 / Matric and a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent operations qualification.
• Recognised qualification in Production Supervision, Logistics or Operations Management.
• Minimum 5 years experience in manufacturing or logistics.
• 3‑5 years supervisory/managerial experience, preferably managing a distribution centre.
• Strong knowledge of company products, policies and procedures.
