Database Administrator – Oracle & SQL Server

About the role

Calling DBA's who enjoy environments where uptime, optimisation, and data integrity are absolutely critical to business success. Our client operates globally, supporting large‑scale infrastructure where data availability, performance and security underpin everything they do. You will join a mature Enterprise IT function managing mission‑critical database environments across cloud and on‑premise platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Oracle (12c/19c) and Microsoft SQL Server database environments.
• Monitor and optimise database performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks.
• Implement backup, recovery and security processes to ensure data integrity.
• Design and implement high‑availability and replication solutions such as Data Guard and GoldenGate.
• Collaborate with development teams to optimise queries and database interactions.
• Develop and maintain SQL scripts, stored procedures and automation.

Required profile

• 5–7 years of database administration experience in enterprise environments.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Proven expertise in performance tuning, replication, clustering and HA solutions.
• Solid understanding of relational database concepts, data modelling and Linux/Unix systems.
• Experience with enterprise storage (SAN) and exposure to cloud databases (AWS or Azure).
