Data Validation Analyst (Remote – Cape Town)

About the role

Join an international client’s data validation team based in Cape Town, working remotely to transform market intelligence into trusted datasets for the student accommodation sector. This fast‑paced position requires a technical mindset and a keen eye for detail.

Key responsibilities

• Capture and maintain data from multiple sources, ensuring high accuracy and completeness.
• Apply quality‑assurance checks, identify and correct errors, inconsistencies, and gaps.
• Research and verify data across various platforms, gathering market intelligence to enrich the dataset.
• Monitor and analyse data changes within the student accommodation market.
• Follow established data guidelines, processes, and QA procedures consistently.
• Resolve issues independently where possible and escalate when necessary.
• Organise workload to meet deadlines without compromising quality.
• Communicate updates, questions, and blockers clearly; document work for team visibility.
• Support dataset‑related projects during peak periods.

Required profile

• Matric qualification; a relevant higher qualification is advantageous.
• 3‑5 years of experience managing data with a tech‑development or programming mindset.
• Strong, sustained attention to detail in high‑volume, repetitive tasks.
• Excellent written and spoken English with a neutral accent for international correspondence.
• Good time‑management, self‑organisation, and ownership of tasks.
• Comfortable learning new tools and adapting to process changes.
• Confidence using computers and everyday digital tools.
