Data Scientist – Marketing Data Science Hub

About the role

The Marketing Data Science Hub at Discovery Connect is looking for a Data Scientist to drive analytics, predictive modelling and business‑intelligence reporting that support sales, distribution and marketing initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Perform analyses, generate insights and build predictive models for sales, distribution and marketing analytics.
• Expand and automate KPI reporting suites covering lead volumes, call‑centre metrics, campaign performance and other client‑facing dashboards.
• Enable performance marketing through client segmentation, targeted strategy development, call‑centre optimisation and digital marketing optimisation.
• Source, cleanse and provide customised data from both structured and unstructured sources.
• Guide business stakeholders on data extraction, improve processes and databases, and disseminate findings via reports and publications.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with solid statistical modelling and machine‑learning expertise.
• Proficiency in producing BI reports and familiarity with BI software tools.
• Ability to work with, analyse and report on large data sets.
• Excellent communication skills and capability to build relationships with key stakeholders.
