About the role
Our client, a leading automotive organisation, is looking for a Data Scientist to support the Motorplan and Serviceplan functions in Midrand. The role focuses on analysing financial and claims data, producing accurate reports and delivering insights that drive pricing, forecasting and strategic decisions.
Key responsibilities
- Produce and maintain financial reports for the Motorplan department.
- Analyse claims and policy data to support pricing and contract evaluation.
- Develop statistical models for liability management and risk analysis.
- Generate forecasts and liability calculations for management reporting.
- Provide actuarial input and data support where required.
Required profile
- 2‑3 years of experience in finance, reporting, business intelligence or analytics.
- Experience working with financial data, preferably in the automotive sector.
- Strong numerical and analytical abilities with high attention to detail.
- Good understanding of financial reporting principles and ability to present findings.
Required skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel.
- Power BI.
- SAS.
- Microsoft Copilot.
