Data & Insights Analyst

About the role

Vivo Energy is seeking a Data & Insights Analyst to join its central team in Cape Town. You will work across 28 African operating units, turning loyalty and payments data into actionable insights that drive customer experience and business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Deep‑dive into loyalty, payments and campaign data to identify patterns, root causes and improvement opportunities.
• Develop and maintain KPI definitions and consistent reporting frameworks for both local and global audiences.
• Produce regular performance dashboards, insights reports and narrative summaries for senior leaders, operating units and central teams.
• Manage the monthly review process of operating‑unit performance and contribute to steering‑committee reporting.
• Build reusable templates and a library of results to support marketing planning and cross‑unit knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with vendors, project teams and stakeholders to ensure data quality and timely delivery of insights.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing data and insights across multiple countries, preferably in an African retail or fuels environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex data into clear business recommendations.
• Self‑motivated, able to prioritize competing demands and work effectively in a virtual, collaborative team.
• Willingness to travel as project needs dictate.
