Data Engineer III – Global Operations

About the role

We are looking for a Data Engineer III to join the Global Operations Metrics & Technology Support team at LexisNexis Legal & Professional. In this role you will design, build and maintain reliable data pipelines that enable high‑quality analytics and AI‑ready data across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and operate scalable data pipelines and integrations for analytics and AI use cases.
• Write clean, well‑tested SQL code for data extraction, transformation, validation and performance tuning.
• Collaborate with technical and business partners to translate data requirements into practical solutions.
• Document data specifications and support AI‑enabled workflow development.
• Troubleshoot data issues, perform root‑cause analysis and implement automation or tooling improvements.
• Identify and implement efficiency gains through orchestration, automation or AI‑assisted processes.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure reproducibility, transparency and data quality.
• Maintain database and data flow management to meet reliability and AI readiness standards.

Required profile

• Professional experience in data engineering, data management or a related technical role.
• Strong hands‑on expertise with SQL, including complex queries and performance tuning.
• Experience with at least one programming or scripting language such as Python or Java.
• Familiarity with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, Redshift, Teradata) and version‑control practices.
• Background in ETL/ELT processes, data modeling and data visualization tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
