Data Analyst & Reporting Specialist – Human Capital

About the role

Join PwC Africa’s Human Capital Technology team as a Senior People Data Analyst and Reporting Specialist. You will turn large workforce datasets into actionable insights that guide strategic and operational decisions across the firm.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse multi‑source people data to identify trends, risks and growth opportunities, and translate findings into clear recommendations.
• Design, build and maintain recurring and ad‑hoc reports, interactive dashboards and visualisation tools for executive‑level presentations.
• Integrate strategic workforce planning outcomes into analytics products, monitoring key indicators and supporting decision‑making.
• Collaborate with partners, HC teams and business units to define reporting requirements and deliver data‑driven solutions.
• Ensure data quality, governance and compliance while driving automation of routine reporting processes.
• Lead or contribute to cross‑functional data initiatives, documenting solutions for scalability and re‑use.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in data analysis or statistical modelling, preferably within People Analytics.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail and ability to communicate complex insights to non‑technical audiences.
• Proven ability to work independently in a deadline‑driven environment and to build trusted relationships across functions.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivots, data cleaning).
• SQL and Python for data extraction and modelling.
• Tableau, Power BI, Microsoft Fabric and Microsoft Power Platform for visualisation.
• Alteryx for data workflow automation.
• Experience with HRIS systems such as Workday or SAP SuccessFactors.
• Statistical methods, predictive modelling and workforce metrics analysis.
