Cyber Security Analyst II

About the role

Clicks Group Services is recruiting a Cyber Security Analyst II to strengthen its cyber security operations in Cape Town. This is a permanent position for an experienced cyber security specialist, with market-related remuneration. The role covers security monitoring, threat analysis, incident response, vulnerability management and security assessments.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and investigate security events
• Respond to cyber security incidents
• Conduct vulnerability assessments
• Perform penetration testing and security reviews
• Support blue, red and purple team exercises
• Analyse threat intelligence and attack techniques, and identify indicators of compromise
• Coordinate incident containment and recovery
• Support forensic investigations and manage external attack surface exposures
• Improve security controls and detection processes
• Prepare incident reports and operational metrics
• Support and mentor less experienced analysts

Required profile

• IT, Systems Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent qualification
• 3+ years of cyber or information security experience
• Practical experience investigating security incidents and operating enterprise security technologies
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
