Customer Experience Consultant - ICX LFT

About the role

Maersk South Africa is looking for a Customer Experience Consultant for its ICX LFT team (Lifestyle, Technology & FMCG) based in Durban. The consultant manages the end-to-end shipment process for small and mid-sized customers (Essential Services Customers) and delivers a positive customer experience through close collaboration with customers and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end shipment process for small and mid-sized customers in line with company procedures.
• Resolve customer issues quickly by engaging the relevant internal stakeholders.
• Handle a customer portfolio, follow up on their financial situation and maintain overall business customer knowledge.
• Coordinate ocean shipments and logistics while processing all required work.
• Respond promptly to daily emails and calls (internal and external) and provide excellent customer service.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure a smooth shipment life cycle.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of experience in customer service and logistics.
• Fluency in English is a must.
• Customer-centric mindset, teamwork and problem-solving skills.
• Energetic, well-organized, self-initiated and good at coordination.

Required skills

• Good knowledge of MS Excel.
• Experience working with multiple systems.
