Customer Banking Specialist (Relief) – Chadstone

About the role

We are looking for a Customer Banking Specialist to join our Chadstone branch on a relief basis. The role covers a set roster of Monday‑Thursday, 12 pm‑4 pm (16 hours per week) and involves being the public face of CommBank for personal and small‑business customers.

Key responsibilities

• Engage in in‑depth conversations with customers to understand and support their banking needs, including home loans, business banking and financial advice.
• Handle enquiries, maintain accounts and process applications for credit products.
• Conduct Financial Health Checks to assess customers’ financial situations and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Demonstrate in‑branch technology and digital banking options, educating customers on self‑service tools.
• Problem‑solve and provide effective solutions while adhering to risk‑averse processes and procedures.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering exceptional customer service, preferably in financial services, retail or hospitality.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain financial concepts clearly.
• Strong questioning and problem‑solving abilities, acting with integrity and keeping the customer at the centre.
• Comfortable working in a busy retail environment and able to see the big picture for customers.
