Customer Assistant – Foods (Constantia Village)

About the role

Join Woolworths as a Customer Assistant in the Foods department at Constantia Village. You will be the first point of contact for shoppers, delivering friendly service, sharing product knowledge and helping maintain a well‑presented store environment.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and respond to product‑related queries.
• Replenish shelves, rotate stock and minimise waste to keep inventory fresh.
• Follow health, safety, hygiene and food‑handling standards at all times.
• Operate the cash register and perform basic administrative tasks using store computers.
• Identify and report quality issues, suspicious activity and stock shrinkage.
• Maintain cleanliness and arrange merchandise according to planograms.

Required profile

• Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
• Basic computer literacy for stock and cash‑handling tasks.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends.
• Strong customer‑service orientation with clear, polite communication.
• Attention to detail for product quality, safety and loss prevention.
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a pleasant demeanor.
