About the role

Mediclinic Highveld in Trichardt, South Africa is recruiting one permanent on-site CSSD Technician. The role provides adequate, functional and sterilized instrument sets and packs to the operating theatre and other nursing units in the hospital.

Key responsibilities

Provide adequate, sterile and functional equipment on time, ensuring patient safety
Maintain capital equipment optimally to minimize clinical and financial risks
Use pharmaceutical stock cost-effectively to meet the daily needs of the operating theatre and other nursing units
Meet infection prevention and control standards according to policies and procedures
Follow standardised workflow processes to minimise risks

Required profile

Essential: Grade 12
Desired: 2 years' experience as a CSSD Technician; a CSSD CPD course is also desired
No experience required

Required skills

Computer literacy (Microsoft Office)
Stock control processes
Personal and environmental hygiene
IPC protocols and principles
Basic knowledge of CSSD functions
