Creditors Control Clerk

About the role

Race Coast is seeking an experienced Creditors Control Clerk to join its Finance team. The role focuses on capturing supplier invoices, reconciling balances and supporting senior team members to meet the company’s financial objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Allocate supplier invoices, credit notes and payments to the correct supplier and capture valid tax invoices in Sage.
• Verify VAT numbers, ensure invoice details comply with SARS requirements and reconcile payments against Pastel balances.
• Prepare payment requisitions before due dates and follow up with suppliers to avoid interest and penalties.
• Maintain supplier age‑analysis, perform monthly reconciliations and hand over results to the Creditors Control Supervisor.
• Assist with BEE‑related queries, credit applications, petty‑cash and company credit‑card maintenance.
• Support year‑end audit files, identify creditor‑related risks and contribute ideas for process automation.

Required profile

• Grade 12 / Matric or NQF Level 4 equivalent qualification.
• At least one year of experience in a similar creditors or accounts‑payable role.
• Clear criminal and credit record.

Required skills

• Sage (or similar accounting software).
• Microsoft Office Suite.
