Creditors Clerk – Retail Finance Support

About the role

A well‑known retailer based in Durban is expanding its national footprint. As part of the expansion, the group is seeking a Creditor’s Clerk for one of its stores located in Randburg Bel Air. The role supports the finance team by managing creditor accounts and ensuring timely payments.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain creditor accounts and perform regular reconciliations.
• Raise debtor invoices and allocate payments to the correct accounts.
• Monitor monthly age analysis and follow up on outstanding invoices.
• Communicate with suppliers and department managers regarding payment queries.
• Assist admin managers during payment processing.
• Follow up on credit notes and ensure accurate record‑keeping.

Required profile

• Grade 12 (Matric) with Maths or Maths Literacy.
• Approximately 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Proficient in MS Office applications.
• Knowledge of SARS submissions and VAT.
• Understanding of accounting principles and cycles.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and pay attention to detail.
