About the role
The Credit Manager will lead the credit function for OVK in Burgersdorp, focusing on increasing profitability and minimizing risk through effective debtor management and collections.
Key responsibilities
- Assess and approve credit applications within the agricultural sector.
- Manage the debtors book and oversee collections.
- Maintain accurate administrative records related to credit operations.
- Supervise the credit office and coordinate with other departments.
Required profile
- Grade 12 qualification; an accounting qualification is advantageous.
- Minimum five years’ experience in agricultural credit lending.
- Thorough knowledge of applicable Credit and FICA legislation.
- Valid driver’s licence.
Required skills
- Proficient with MS Office applications.
- Excellent communication in Afrikaans and English.
- Strong numerical and organisational abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining confidentiality.
- Good interpersonal skills and capability to motivate staff.
- Solid understanding of risk management principles.
