Cost & Management Accountant – Lamberts Bay

About the role

Our client, a leading manufacturing company on the West Coast, is seeking a Cost & Management Accountant to join their team in Lamberts Bay. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will gain hands‑on experience in costing, budgeting and financial analysis while supporting operational decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Take full ownership of the costing function, analysing and interpreting monthly management accounts.
• Prepare the annual budget and quarterly forecasts.
• Continuously develop and improve management information systems.
• Provide financial assistance to operational managers for decision‑making.
• Manage, develop and mentor a team of six direct reports.

Required profile

• Qualified with CIMA, BCom (cost and management accounting major) or equivalent; recent graduate or candidate with limited experience accepted.
• Strong computer literacy, especially advanced Excel and familiarity with JDE or similar accounting packages.
• Assertive, organised and able to meet deadlines under pressure.
• Team player with good communication skills; leadership experience is a plus.
