Contracts Manager (Construction)

About the role

The Contracts Manager will lead HSE compliance, quality assurance and financial performance across multiple construction sites. You will be responsible for planning, programming, document management and stakeholder relationships to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide effective leadership in promoting HSE compliance on all sites.
• Take full responsibility for overall quality compliance of assigned projects.
• Drive short‑ and long‑term planning and programming, overseeing document management and business reporting via SharePoint and the BOS system.
• Plan, monitor and manage project costs to optimise site financial performance.
• Maintain professional relationships with all stakeholders and ensure clear communication of objectives.
• Set performance targets and manage the performance of reportees according to their roles.

Required profile

• Tertiary degree or diploma in Building or Civil Engineering.
• SACPCMP (Construction Manager) certification – non‑negotiable.
• 10+ years of technical experience in construction, including at least 6 years in a managerial role.
• Proven experience managing 1–3 construction sites simultaneously.
• Strong contractual, commercial and project‑management expertise.
• Valid driver’s licence, reliable vehicle and willingness to travel extensively between sites.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of Candy software.
• CCS programming and planning.
• SharePoint and OneDrive for document control.
• BOS & SHEQ compliance system.
• Familiarity with Build Smart, CCS estimating and CCS valuation.
