Consultancy for Community Beneficiary Wage Payment Administration (6 months)

About the role

The International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) seeks a qualified consultancy to administer wage payments for community beneficiaries under the GEF‑7 Sustainable Land Management (SLM) Project in Limpopo Province, South Africa. This six‑month assignment supports the effective disbursement of funds to project participants.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and process wage payments for community beneficiaries in accordance with project guidelines.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with IUCN and GEF reporting requirements.
• Coordinate with local authorities and project partners to verify beneficiary eligibility.
• Prepare regular payment reports and reconcile accounts.
• Provide administrative support for audit and monitoring activities.

Required profile

• Experience in financial administration, payroll processing, or related fields.
• Familiarity with donor‑funded project financial procedures, preferably GEF or similar environmental programmes.
• Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality of sensitive data.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
