Construction Supervisor / Finishing Foreman (Cape Town)

About the role

A reputable construction company is looking for an experienced Construction Supervisor / Finishing Foreman to lead the finishing phase of large multi‑storey residential projects in the Greater Cape Town CBD. The role is hands‑on, ensuring that all finishing trades deliver work safely, to the highest quality standards and within the project programme.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all finishing trades on site.
• Manage day‑to‑day site activities during the finishing phase.
• Ensure work complies with project specifications, quality standards and programme requirements.
• Coordinate subcontractors, monitor productivity and resolve site‑related issues.
• Conduct quality inspections and verify that finishes meet required standards.
• Monitor health and safety compliance across all finishing activities.
• Liaise with site management, subcontractors, suppliers and consultants.
• Assist with snagging, handover inspections and defect close‑out.
• Maintain accurate site records and progress reports.

Required profile

• 5–10 years of experience in building construction, preferably on multi‑storey residential projects.
• Proven experience as a Construction Supervisor, Finishing Foreman or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of building finishes, quality control and construction sequencing.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Demonstrated leadership and subcontractor management skills.
