Construction Manager – Routine Road Maintenance (Site Agent)

About the role

BCB Solutions is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead routine road maintenance (RRM) projects as a Site Agent. The role involves overseeing site establishment, resource planning, cost control, and stakeholder communication across South African infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and manage site resources, planning and allocation.
• Control costs by comparing actuals to planned budgets.
• Manage and execute job instructions and achieve monthly certificate targets.
• Compile monthly payment certificates and ensure accurate invoicing.
• Conduct weekly planning, technical meetings, and site progress monitoring.
• Manage stakeholder expectations, communication, and health‑and‑safety compliance.
• Oversee labour production, wages, and site administration.
• Liaise with clients, client representatives, and subcontractors.
• Perform ad‑hoc site management functions as required.

Required profile

• BEng, BSc Engineering or BTech in Civil Engineering (NQF Level 7) or higher.
• Active registration with ECSA (Pr Eng/Pr Tech Eng) or SACPCMP (Pr CM/Pr CPM).
• 5–10 years managing SANRAL road construction or routine road maintenance projects.
• Valid South African driver’s licence.
• Strong leadership, communication and negotiation abilities.
• Willingness to travel extensively across South Africa.
