Construction Manager – Renewable Energy Projects

About the role

VRH Power, a renewable‑energy specialist, is seeking a Construction Manager to lead the delivery of substation and overhead transmission projects. The role combines civil, mechanical and electrical expertise to manage multidisciplinary site activities, ensuring safety, quality and cost‑effectiveness.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate construction activities, including resource allocation and scheduling.
• Oversee site execution, managing teams, contractors, plant and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with legal, HSE, permits and utility standards.
• Control quality, inspection readiness and manage RFI/MRFI processes.
• Maintain documentation, drawings and change control.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and stakeholders.
• Monitor progress, produce reports and provide leadership to the project team.

Required profile

• SACPCMP‑registered civil qualification (diploma or degree).
• 3–6 years of experience in construction management of substations or transmission lines.
• Electrical trade certificate (beneficial).
• Project management experience (beneficial).
