Construction Electrician & Electrical Maintenance Technician

About the role

Lux-Con (Pty) Ltd is seeking a qualified Construction Electrician and an Electrical Maintenance Technician to support projects across the southern Johannesburg area and broader Gauteng region. The roles involve on‑site electrical work on construction sites as well as maintenance tasks in retail and commercial environments.

Key responsibilities

• Install, test, and commission 3‑phase electrical systems on construction sites.
• Perform routine and corrective electrical maintenance on retail and commercial premises.
• Interpret electrical drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Collaborate with site supervisors and other trades to coordinate electrical work.
• Travel to neighboring provinces as required for maintenance assignments.

Required profile

• Valid 3‑Phase Wireman’s licence.
• Trade test electrician qualification.
• Proven experience on construction sites and in retail/commercial electrical maintenance.
• Ability to work independently on‑site and adhere to safety regulations.
