Community Advisor – Department of Home Affairs (12‑Month Fixed‑Term)

About the role

As a Community Advisor for FNB under the Department of Home Affairs initiative, you will deliver an exceptional customer experience by understanding client needs, recommending tailored financial solutions, and guiding customers to the most appropriate service channels, including eChannels and self‑service options.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring a positive and helpful experience.
• Educate customers on the correct banking platforms and digital self‑service tools.
• Analyse customer data to recommend tailored financial products and identify sales opportunities.
• Ensure all interactions comply with FNB policies, processes, and risk guidelines.
• Achieve sales targets while maintaining high standards of accuracy and ethical conduct.
• Support cost‑containment initiatives and optimise channel usage based on customer needs.

Required profile

• Minimum Grade 12/NQF Level 4 qualification; NQF Level 5 preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in customer‑facing roles within financial services.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and compliance awareness.
• Empathetic, ethical, and accountable for personal performance.

• Proficiency with banking software platforms (eChannels, self‑service tools).
