Community Advisor – Alternative Channels (12-Month Contract)

About the role

Join FNB’s Alternative Channels team as a Community Advisor, delivering exceptional customer experiences through proactive needs assessment and tailored product solutions. This 12‑month hourly contract focuses on guiding customers to the most suitable service channels, including e‑channels and self‑service options.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring a positive and helpful experience.
• Explain banking processes and requirements in simple terms, directing customers to appropriate digital or self‑service platforms.
• Analyse customer data to recommend tailored financial solutions and achieve sales targets.
• Ensure all interactions comply with FNB policies, processes, and regulatory standards.
• Stay updated on industry trends, product knowledge, and emerging digital channels.
• Work on a shift schedule, taking accountability for personal performance and development.

Required profile

• Minimum Grade 12/NQF Level 4; NQF Level 5 certificate in Banking, Business Administration, Customer Service or related field preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in customer‑facing roles within financial services.
• Excellent communication, relationship‑building, and empathy skills.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and adherence to regulated processes.
• Ability to identify sales opportunities and support portfolio growth.
• Organised, disciplined, and capable of managing time effectively.
