Communications Consultant

About the role

As a Communications Consultant you will join Old Mutual’s Mass Foundation Cluster, supporting the delivery of a cross‑platform communications strategy that connects customers, employees and external stakeholders. You will help shape internal and external messages, ensuring the brand is consistent and the impact of the organisation’s work is clearly understood.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and evaluate multi‑channel communication strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Create and adapt content for town‑hall presentations, scripts, employee newsletters, email, WhatsApp, intranet and social media.
• Provide channel recommendations and performance insights to improve engagement and conversion rates.
• Support public and government relations campaigns, monitor performance and suggest optimisation.
• Maintain brand integrity by applying brand guidelines across all digital touchpoints.
• Manage internal communication tools such as WhatsApp, digital CRM platforms and emerging channels.

Required profile

• Proven experience in corporate or financial‑services communications.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret metrics and refine content.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, adaptable to diverse audiences.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams and external partners.

Required skills

• Proficiency with digital communication tools (e.g., WhatsApp, CRM platforms, social media management tools).
• Experience creating content for multiple formats and channels.
