Commercial Insurance Specialist

About the role

The Commercial Insurance Specialist is a full‑time hybrid position based in Rustenburg, with occasional work from the offices in Brits and Mafikeng. The role focuses on advising commercial clients on insurance solutions, assessing risk profiles, and delivering tailored coverage that meets regulatory and business requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate quotations and manage policy renewals for commercial clients.
• Process endorsements and coordinate with underwriters and brokerage partners.
• Handle customer service queries, resolve claims issues, and maintain comprehensive documentation.
• Monitor market trends and collaborate with finance teams on premium billing and profitability analysis.
• Ensure compliance with South African regulatory frameworks such as FAIS and Treating Customers Fairly.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products, policy structures, and risk assessment.
• Experience in insurance brokerage and relationship management with insurers and intermediaries.
• Solid finance and analytical abilities, including understanding of premiums, underwriting principles, and profitability drivers.
• Excellent communication and customer‑service skills for interacting with diverse clients and internal stakeholders.
• Relevant qualifications in Insurance, Finance, Business or a related field (diploma or degree preferred).
