Cluster Reactive Sales Executive

About the role

The Cluster Reactive Sales Executive will handle incoming sales enquiries for transient, group and event bookings at the Marriott Hotel in Melrose Arch, Johannesburg. You will guide guests and clients through the reservation process, ensuring accurate information, appropriate room allocation and compliance with hotel policies.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and process sales requests, changes and cancellations via phone, fax or email.
• Verify guest and client details, determine suitable room types and catering blocks, and input reservations into the property management system.
• Explain guarantee, special rates and cancellation policies, and document any special requests.
• Provide information on hotel facilities, services, promotions and sister properties when needed.
• Assign confirmation and cancellation numbers and follow escalation procedures for guest concerns.
• Maintain confidentiality, adhere to company policies and present a professional appearance.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple reservations accurately.
• Excellent verbal communication skills and a courteous telephone etiquette.
• Ability to lift, carry or move objects up to 10 lb without assistance.
• Commitment to uphold privacy, security and quality standards.

Required skills

• Proficiency in using a Property Management System for reservation entry and management.
