Cloud Engineer (GCP)

About the role

Incubeta is seeking a Cloud Engineer with a strong GCP background to take ownership of day‑to‑day cloud operations. This position will relieve the Cloud Architect by handling support tickets, vulnerability management, and routine environment tasks, while also championing AI‑driven automation wherever it adds value.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for all GCP‑related support queries from product, engineering, and business teams.
• Diagnose, triage, and resolve cloud infrastructure incidents, escalating complex issues when necessary.
• Maintain and enforce service‑level agreements for response and resolution times.
• Document environments, configurations, known issues, and resolutions to build a searchable knowledge base.
• Monitor cloud health, performance, and cost, taking proactive actions to optimise resources.
• Identify and implement AI‑enabled tooling to automate manual processes and improve delivery speed.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with Google Cloud Platform in a production environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with a habit of questioning how AI or automation can replace manual effort.
• Ability to work collaboratively with senior IT staff, product owners, and engineering teams.
• Excellent communication skills for documenting issues and sharing knowledge.
