Clinical & Wellness Psychologist – Wellness Centre

About the role

The Clinical and Wellness Psychologist will provide evidence‑based psychological care to clients in recovery, supporting holistic treatment plans that address addiction, trauma, stress and dual diagnoses within a multidisciplinary wellness centre.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct psychological assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Deliver individual therapy using CBT, DBT, trauma‑focused approaches.
• Facilitate group therapy and psycho‑educational sessions.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, counsellors and medical staff for integrated care.
• Monitor patient progress, adjust interventions and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
• Participate in family therapy, relapse‑prevention strategies and after‑care planning.

Required profile

• Master’s or Doctorate in Clinical or Counselling Psychology.
• Registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA).
• 2–5 years’ experience in rehabilitation centres, psychiatric hospitals or community mental‑health settings.
• Experience working with international clients is an advantage.

• Strong grounding in clinical or counselling psychology.
• Expertise in addiction treatment, trauma therapy and dual‑diagnosis care.
• Excellent communication, empathy and cultural sensitivity.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
